Urk, August 2016
This isn’t a street portrait in a strict way. But, I met this man on a street in the centre of Urk (former fisher island in the Zuiderzee). I was invited to drink some coffee with him and his neighbors. As simple as nice: on the street in front of the small house. We talked about things in live and things in common. The man showed me his hobby-made drawings and paintings in his house. On our tour, we let the door open, because of the neigbours on the street and the nice weather. In the house, I asked him if I could make a portrait. And so we did.
